Le Requin museum quality ship model
This model was constructed by Dmitry Dobrenko using Jean Boudriot's plans and was the winner in the Russian Championships 2007 in class C3. The right side of the hull is open allowing the internals to be viewed and magnificent carvings are used throughout.
The model was constructed using ebony, pear, brass and silver among other materials.
This model is very rare and unique. It is the finest model of Le Requin ever built in the world including the version in the Parisian Sea Museum!

History of French Xebec Le Requin
Le Requin (The Shark) was used by the French Royal Fleet and was built to defeat the Barbarisian Pirates who used similar vessels in the Mediterranean during the 18th century.
